What's New > Preparing for Change by Sydney Kuo, posted on 12:22 PM, June 7, 2012
Professionals involved in volunteer management know that while change is inevitable, preparing for positive change is key to success. The BC Organization Development Network (BCODN) has arranged for Dr. Robert Kegan, world-renowned Harvard psychologist and award-winning author to join us here in Vancouver on June 14th and 15th, 2012. Drawing on 30 years of research and practice in "mindset psychology," Dr. Kegan suggests a hidden mechanism can be reset, enabling us to make the changes we want to make in our life and in our work. Shifting our immunity to change has implications at the individual, group and organizational level. Dates and Location: Understanding Immunity to Change - Thursday June 14th, 2012 at BCIT Downtown, Room 282, 555 Seymour Street, Vancouver. 7pm - 9 pm. (Cost $40 - $55) Exploring and Uncovering Immunity to Change - Friday June 15th, 2012 at BCIT Downtown, Room 825, 555 Seymour Street, Vancouver. 9 am - 4:30 pm (Cost $175 - $225) If you are interested in finding new strategies to create positive change in your organization, you want to be at this event! To register or to find out more, please visit www.bcodn.org and follow the links from the main page. Or please feel free to contact me directly. I hope to see you there. Sincerely, Teresa Comey BCODN President |
