Code of Ethics

An AVRBC member shall:

  1. Recognize the dignity, rights, worth and potential of each individual.
  2. Be an advocate of volunteerism.
  3. Respect confidentiality in relationships with clients, volunteers and staff.
  4. Use information obtained through professional relationships in a responsible manner.
  5. Update and upgrade skills in the field of Volunteer Administration in order to achieve professional excellence.
  6. Share knowledge and experience for the benefit of the profession as a whole.
  7. Promote ethical practices in all aspects of Volunteerism.
  8. Adhere to the policies and support the goals of the organization in which the member serves.
  9. Actively support the Administrators of Volunteer Resources BC.
