For further information contact Sample of an employer’s letterBill Smith Dear Mr. Smith: Congratulations on the successful hiring of a Coordinator of Volunteer Resources for Aberdeen Hospital. Administrators of Volunteer Resources, BC (AVRBC) is a provincial organization dedicated to promoting high standards of practice, leadership and innovation in the field of management of volunteer programs. Our members are professionals in the field of volunteer administration from a wide variety of organizations, from small non-profits such as food banks and neighborhood houses to larger health facilities, government organizations such as the prison systems and charitable organizations like the United Way and Cancer Society. Our regular meetings provide opportunities for educational learning, professional development and supportive networking. In addition we offer joint membership in the national organization, Canadian Administrators of Volunteer Resources (CAVR). Of special interest to employers is the information available on the CAVR website specifically designed with employers in mind to assist you in hiring, job classification and assessment of your volunteer programs. You can access this information at www.cavrcanada.org. As an employer you can encourage a higher quality outcome from your volunteers by encouraging your new employee to join AVRBC by including the cost of membership, $100 per annum, in your annual budget. Please feel free to contact me in the future if you have similar positions available which may be of interest to our membership, or if we can be of assistance to you in any other way. We invite you to check out our website at www.avrbc.com for further information. Yours truly, AVRBC President |
